Mumbai: In line with its commitment to present fresh and relatable music to Gen Z, Sony Music India introduces Taaruk as a pop artist with the release of his debut song, ‘Sukoon’. The teaser of the independent single excited the curiosity of music buffs with glimpses of a futuristic VR world that witnesses a breakup between two young people.
As India’s leading music record label, Sony Music India has presided over the rise of independent music and backed promising artists. The release of Taaruk’s quirky breakup song is a testament to its belief in bolstering young talent. The newly released Sukoon is most definitely the pop song you can’t miss; its visuals have a futuristic, sexy and bold appeal. Ahead of its time, Taaruk’s debut pop song has a gripping melody and relatable lyrics that are sure to resonate with anyone who has undergone a breakup. Composed by Taaruk, Charan and Bruno Mota from Redmojo (Portugal-based production house), sung by Taaruk and written by him and Charan, Sukoon features the singer and the digital sensation, Aisha Ahmed.
Glad to offer the song to listeners, Taaruk says, “It is unreal how happy it makes me to bring this song to listeners. As a debutant, it’s always safe to do something that is routine. However, we wanted to try something different with the way Sukoon was composed and the treatment of its visuals. A big thanks to Sony Music India for supporting my vision of a breakup song. I hope the listeners enjoy it and make it their own.”
Aisha says, “This song is very special to me and I’m super excited that it’s out. I had been waiting for everyone to see what a fabulous job Taaruk has done with it. I urge you all to show our debutant some love. He’s a very passionate composer-singer and it’s incredible that he has such sound musical aesthetics. Sukoon is repeat listen material for me and I’m positive that it will catch on.”
